This is a wonderful app that has some nice high quality videos and sounds. I love watching it. The icon is unobtrusive and easy to use and the multiple fireplaces makes it impossible to ever get bored with this. I just wish it could be a live wallpaper that could function on the desktop so I could continue to work on the Mac while it burns softly in the background. Overall really nice app that I would recomend to anyone.

I love this addition to my computer. I have a 27" iMac and every time I boot it up on these cold winter days I have the sound and vision of a crackling fire place to warm me up. It works without a hassle and gives me multiple choices fireplaces although I must admit the standard one is my favorite. If you enjoy a fireplace then I recommend this realistic and cozy addition.

Love this app!!! At the end of the day when Im all tired, I watch the fire while I relax and crochet!! No smoke, and no work!! Great way to unwind.

Works as advertised.

The visuals and audio are terrific. You can feel the warmth. Unfortunately, each time I want to use it, the app needs to be quit and re-started. If not, there is no animation.

First of all, I have had no problems with the App. Once you get a video going, it does what its supposed to do. But its not all that polished, and with a little work could be a lot better. The biggest issue is that theres no keboard support. Its 100% click-driven. There are only about 7 menu items (only one menu) and not one of them has a built in keyboard shortcut. I tried to add custom ones, but it wouldnt take them. Pretty much anything you try on the keyboard will result in a standard error beep. This includes the escape key during while the fireplace video is playing. You might think that was a way to get the video to stop. Nope, that requires a click of the mouse. (?) Also, the cursor shows during the video. But the videos are great and the sound is fine too. So once its playing, its very pleasant. It just needs a little attention. Im hoping it gets better with an update.

The free version and this version are the same, i would recommened getting the free version, and not this version.

I love this fireplace. I told someone recently that I swear my room is warmer. It is such a nice change to have especially when you have over a foot of snow falling outside.

This is so real. I use it every night.

Ive enjoyed this app after hustle and bustle everyday. Calming and meditative.

Fireplace Live HD is a quick and satisfying way to wrap yourself in a tender blanket of "relax." I wasnt much of screen saver guy. I still dont want an aquarium leaking all over my MacBook. Now, counting backward from ten, witness yourself downloading fire.

I love this app!! and now that the screensaver bug has been squashed its PERFECT!!!!! very realistic and beautiful!

this is an enjoyable complement to the forced heat that doesn’t quite keep me warm…. but it would “work better” if the videos were longer and sufficiently HD (1080?) to make them convincing on my 24-27” monitors. would nice to see the fires burn down the logs a bit!

Graphics are hot… Great app.

I activate this application over the holidays and always enjoy it. With this version I was a little confused about the Test button (it only tests the audio, not video) and I had to read the Help section before noticing the Fireplace Icon on the top menu bar. I sent an email to the developer who responded almost immediately! Great app and great support. I really enjoy the multiple selections/fireplace scenes.

Nice app, good choices on videos (only thing missing is black-booted red and white-furred legs appearing down the chimney and retreating at the heat, but can’t have everything). I had a question for the developer about the possibility of overriding the sound of my system screensaver, which would continue to play behind the fireplace sounds (can’t be done - no biggie) and got an answer a couple of hours later - on Sunday yet! Voros’ software isn’t earthshakingly indispensable (yet), but pleasant, elegantly designed, and for my needs useful. I also have the Living Weather and Living Wallpaper apps. Overkill maybe, but they’re fun.

Definitely a very nice app. One __minor__ criticism… the sound effects are not loud enough. I have to turn up the sound full blast just to be able to hear the ‘fireplace’ that any other sound that occurs during this time completely blows the mood. And if I don’t remember to turn down the audio volume after exiting the fireplace screensaver… I about knock myself out of my chair at the next sound from my computer. So for me at least… the sound effects are useless since I choose not to be blasted either during or after the fireplace is displayed.

This app brings a feeling of warmth and comfort to my small office through the long Alaskan winter days and nights. It’s a keeper.
